Coretta Allen ‌

Coretta joined the Center for Responsible Lending in August of 2024, as an operations and finance specialist.

Before joining CRL, she served as an operations coordinator, where she managed the building and office operations for MDC's headquarters in Durham. She provided comprehensive administrative support, managed leased office spaces and event rentals, coordinated event planning, offered IT support, and oversaw new-hire onboarding and staff training.

With over 20 years of experience in administrative support, Coretta brings a deep background in C-level executive assistance, travel coordination, documentation management, and workflow processing. Her career includes significant roles such as operations specialist, administrative assistant to the VP of operations, global administrative assistant at IBM, and administrative assistant at Duke University Medical Center in the Children’s Primary Care division.

Coretta’s passion for lifelong learning and supporting others extends to her community involvement. She actively serves as a board member for Alamance County Community Services in Burlington, NC. She has also volunteered as a youth counselor and mentor with The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, supported displaced youth through church initiatives, and provided care for elderly individuals.

Coretta holds a B.S. in behavioral and social science from North Carolina Central University.
